A hero's duty isn't an easy one.

A Hero's Duty

 

A hero has a duty

Which he cannot escape

He has to save all

Before it's too late

 

He needs to be strong

He has to be brave

When all hope is lost

He cannot cave

 

A hero is trapped

Unable to leave

His duty ties him

He'll never be free

 

The world didn't care

They loved to abuse

And power over their hero

They did misuse

 

He was a weapon

Created to strike

Against his enemies

With all of his might

 

He has to carry

On his shoulders the fate

Of people he once loved

People he now hates

 

The weight was too much

His task too tall

And nobody bothered

To break his fall

 

He was betrayed by

People he protected

Now he was nothing

Another boy neglected

 

Sacrifices were made

Everything was lost

Except for his purpose:

Fight for the cause

 

A hero has no choice

Is forced into war

His duty is to save

And nothing more
