My lost soul...

This is a poem. The first line is from one of my favourite songs at the moment New York by Paloma Faith

The wolfs they howl for my lost soul,

anger penetrates the deep black howl.

My life is lost and gone forever,

because we can no longer be together.

I stand by your grave on a dreary day,

remembering you, just so brave.

Now nothing holds me to this life I own,

since you are no longer here I am now alone.

I love the imagery in this piece. The loneliness comes across in this piece in its short desperate lines. For me, a poem is most effective if it presents a clear mental image in your head, and in mine i see a girl at her lost lover's grave surrounded by wolves that may be real, or possibly the projections of her own inner torment. great work!
