Church

Church

A Poem by Nocturnal Sunrise

Church

Winding golden spires

Reach unto the skies

Shades of blue and gold

Creation of a lie

Beauty within sadness

Happiness in grief

Change its path so swiftly

A secret held beneath

Forever an imposing place

Filled with joyful tears of dread

Each tower clambers waywardly

Memory re-lived

In death a palace of solitude

Each life a new resource

Masking ugliness with beauty

In faith for evermore
