Timeless Beauty

Timeless Beauty

A Poem by Lafoot

Timeless Beauty

By Chris Laffitte

The years soar by akin the winged arrow,

Befuddled am I to whence it roves.

Godspeed in flight just like a sparrow,

Once pierced in heart I can not loathe.

But not in antiquity do I find salvation,

Fulfillment is crowned by more than vogue.

Can love be timeless by association?

With you it’s a theorem to endless roads.

How varied the mirrors can cast our image,

Some tithe of our epoch is what we owe.

Beauty takes claim as heritor of visage.

Forever you are blazoned ahead of tempo.

What is written embrace as if it is morrow,

Our passing of harvest is the seeds we sow.

Blue moons should never be held with sorrow.

Kingdom come will be done, life has promised to show.

In the end it is lucid for all my reasons.

Seventh heaven has an angel with whom I go.

Never-ending despite the change of seasons,

You are divine my love and this I know.
