Not so close to Eden’s end

Not so close to Eden’s end

A Chapter by Lafayette

Perhaps we’ll work it out.

I only pretended not to hear you when you said -

You crazy person- why

Can you tell me why

 Make love to me

Darling, won’t you stay till morning

Don’t you feel my heart breaking

You told me then

About ten million, times ten million years "

Without you…

I can take you where you’ve been afraid to go

That place when alone

you fear the most

You know, beyond twilight's haze -

Pass winters heart to that scary place;

Hidden in gray corners of your dreams.

Nothing can come between

you and I -

Not here my lovely

Not so close to Eden’s end

Let me make you wet;

Come dance with me

Together we can forget all the ones before now

Before here, before us -

All ones before you and I
