![]() Standing in the cornerA Poem by Lady Pearl![]() a poem about being the girl on the side, and watching the man you love be with someone else![]() I was Standing in the corner Right by the entrance Smoking a cigarette Trying to forget Your plans to meet me last Tuesday Why didn't you call me? Why didn't you show? Our last night together Was heated and passionate I remembered how good you said you felt And she couldn't make you love her Not the way I made you feel... I smiled And took out my phone to call you But remembered I couldn't So she wouldn't find out we spoke Until you let her go You said you'd let her go... Just by the entrance I recognized your car There you were With her And you and I Looked at each others eyes You walked on by And I smoked another cigarette... © 2017 Lady Pearl |
