Fragile (Was my Crystal Ball)

Fragile (Was my Crystal Ball)

A Poem by Lady Of Darkness

Fragile (Was my Crystal Ball)

Fragile was my crystal ball
Shattered, dust settling upon the floor
Thought’s escape like unwanted ghosts
Trapped from deep within
Setting free lost memories

All lights flicker and die out
Blown away by the breeze
And in this enclosed room
Darkness casts its shadows
As blood pools at my feet

Merging from the path of sorrow
Stands a mirror that stood not there before
And as for the light which burned out
Mysteriously appeared again
Lit by an unseen specter
That of which I had not foreseen

Upon the floor lies not that of my shattered crystal ball
And the dust settling at my bare feet
Was non other then that of my fragile soul

Well done. You had very strong and intriquing imagery, and I love the analogy between the crystal ball and your soul. Good job!
