Take nothing for granted

 

 

In darkness there are times when all is lost
For the blind cannot see what lies ahead
Searching for the light that’s not before you
Fingertips do the seeking along the walls

Turn on the light switch to see your lost hope
But blindness comes from seeing much too soon
Shadows dance before your eyes in a blur
Tripping over what you thought could never be found

A word of caution when you seek for what you lost
Even when one can see they are still blinded
Listen with both ears, see with all seeing eyes
And that door you thought closed will open
