Silence

Silence

A Poem by Ladyinblck

The day you spoke, and said nothing.
To feel feelings never uncovered just to wish they were never discovered.
To become invested in a reality you feel is so great and wondrous.
To have been the dearest of friends just for it all to end while lying next to you as you slept.
Feelings of confusion and emotions of hurt are what I feel now. How can ten years of friendship and one year of passion turn into silence.
Did I ever really even mean anything to you? Or was I just the realization of the numbing agent needed to drown the sorrows of a man in love with another no longer in the picture.
To choose silence when simple words can quite a million.
The day you spoke and said nothing I finally listened.

Wow. Just wow. The pain and devastation of suddenly losing the warmth you had because it surged too hot and burst the bulb. This speaks to me; it is an excellent, heartfelt piece.
