When A WomanA Poem by Lady Miyako-san of the WestPay attention to your womanWhen A Woman He’d approached her He'd come to her So it was his entire fault She was beautiful and he couldn’t take his eyes off of her And though he wanted to stay active with his P.I.M.P. membership And tried to keep it hidden… She knew And she still accepted him as her own But every night while he was gone, She would cry She cried for so many reasons For him Praying that he would stop and come home to her But most of all She prayed for her For her heart to remain strong And she wouldn’t let this control her But one night, he didn’t come home And that was when everything changed She hadn’t had a tear-stained face when he came home the next morning And when a woman stops crying They say she’s readying herself for a change And a change there was
Something that didn’t include him She was ready to say Good-bye Every night when he came home That look that she gave him Told him that he was in for it And that he’d better watch himself She was ready to make her way out of that front door And that she did The smile that she wore all the time Was a sign that there was going to be something different in her life When a woman stops crying… Be prepared for a change
