A Poem by JessicaRose

I have had time and
distance
to consider all of this.
Separation has allowed me to become
cold and
analytical
about this tear in the fabric.
And I,
bitter as I always was,
wish sometimes that it would fall down.
That need would come into the equation once more.

But,
I have accepted
that I plucked a seed from my garden,
given it to one who would nurture it
and see it grow. And I can't begrudge them
if circumstances saw to it
that I would not be able to share in the harvest.
I have to believe that my
good intentions
will bring my own harvest someday.
