Methods of Goodbye

Methods of Goodbye

A Poem by JessicaRose

Pills - blues, whites, yellows

     paired with

a fifth of vodka (or whiskey),

               slowly though.

Bullet - .38 mm, enough to stop your

     head in its tracks,

          load 2... just in case.

Carbon Monoxide - peaceful, if that's

     really what you think you

          deserve (I don't).

Bridge - one jump is all it takes.

Make sure it's more than a 2 story drop.

          Check for concrete below.

Water - fill your pockets with stones

and wade out until the current pulls

you down. Don't fight. Just breathe and wait.

Air - just one bubble injected into your

bloodstream. But be sure. It's swift

          and irrevocable.

Life - just live and continue living

even though all the beauty is gone,

even though all the passion is gone,

     even though...

          even though...
