Meth Morning

Meth Morning

A Poem by JessicaRose

We fled the light.
It burned our corneas,
and set our mouths on fire.
We bred, woke, loved,
and dreamed in the dark.
Nocturnal creatures of this dim,
numbing world
we've created for ourselves.
