World So FairA Poem by Lady WolfSitting in the shade beneath this apple tree tessellated sunshine beaming through the leaves Ground beneath me trembles as they pass close by hoofbeats whisper through the grass I hear contented sighs Breath so warm upon my cheek muzzle soft as air JOY this is not fantasy in this world so fair Crickets play their leg-o-lins cicadas whine and buzz swallows swish-swoop through the air empty space where bug just was Little bad can reach me here the real world falls away in this special world I touch and visit every day Cobweb tickle of a breeze smell of peace upon the air musk and hay and leaves and grass scent this world so fair There is no destination you cannot set a course this is the special world you touch when loved by a horse. 9/22/10 © 2010 Lady WolfAuthor's Note
