Queen of the Forest

Queen of the Forest

A Poem by BarbedWireButterfly

Flowers scattered amongst the leaves
A dense fog clings to this place
A hush among these trees

A throne of wood and bones
Vines weaved amongst the wreakage
With moss blooming upon its roots
Burried, amongst the silence

A distorted figure treading carefully
Deformed with an infinite age
Slender hands grasping the air
Searching for long since quiet friends

Sitting on the throne of these woods
Once a beautiful and regal ruler
Withered with the burden of eternity
The animals have long since stilled

These patches of moss grow
A disease of the skin
The death of the peaceful woods
The finalinsation of this deathly calm

This is the first time I've written in a month or two so I might still be a bit rusty...
