Pain

My heart is broken and the pain is unbearable

To know that we knew how to make it better but didn’t do it makes it terrible

My heart is weak and filled with sorrow

To be myself again I need a soul to borrow.

 

I have nothing left to give my love has left me all alone

These words aren’t enough to keep me strong for days to come

Don’t tell me there is hope for something you  couldn’t keep

Lie to me some more and make my soul weep.

 

This pain is the child of our love, tortured but strong

With this pain I shall live, to keep me from doing wrong.

Save your tears for your new love, I will cry for you

Look forward to tomorrow without me, I won’t follow you.
