Expect the unexpected

Expect the unexpected

A Poem by Lady Protostar

Slow and painful creek echoes.
She's fallen, they screamed.
Thousand voices. Empty words.
Accords of pain travels through the seas.
Silence obeys to this moment,
the stars start to make way,
one beautiful life has ended and there's nothing much to say.
As her spirit moves towards the endless space,
Songs are sang, it is time for grace.
"Oh Lord hear our prayer,
Bless our empty souls.
For what we thought would be heaven  and provoked the untold".
So they gather around again
And look up to the moon,
Time has come to realise that
The power of the word,
Meaningless and cruel,
Ended her life too soon.
They know now it's too late
They mourn and try to recall faith.
Then, sound of thunder began to rise.
Strikes of lightening fell from the sky.
They, now powerless did nothing but stare.
Head by head, their numbers were shown.
Real to fake, every mask was blown.
The creek, now tragic, it starts to disappear.
Their bodies vanished but the hearts were left, raw.
Soft rhythm starts playing,
a melody so humble and deep.
The sea now crystal clear,
drained all tears and their weep.
Momentum so magical, so severe.
This second of madness,
eliminated all fear.
And there she was, shining so bright,
She came and she left with the speed of light.
