Undangled
by Tricia Pattinson The weakness of eyes Is looking outside Expecting the World To be real and true Believing is not proof all is real In our eyes reflections pacify Keeping minds occupied Wrapped up and cuddled tight And when we struggle as babies do Our cries of blaming and finding fault Is with the World and not ourselves Important answers arrive alone From shadowy basements hence they come They climb the inner stairs of aware To enliven and invigorate To rescue us from mistakes Like the mistake of attaching To the Tree of Life As temporary ornamentals Dangling upside down Looking ever outward And yet we shine none the less The real and true answers come In the privacy of self revelation Where we can treasure ourselves And let go expecting ornamentality To lead us to the God/dess Leave the World's game of blame Detach from the racks of torture's pain Close your eyes Open your heart Allow the World to carry on Allow yourself to accept you're free © 2014 Tricia PattinsonReviews
