Poetics In Winter

Poetics In Winter

A Poem by Tricia Pattinson

Poetics In Winter
by Tricia Pattinson

Does Winter never cease
To hinder hope of Spring?

In the icy burning heart
The center of rustification
To wormy decaying fortress

Ripping apart with biting savagery
Life's frozen and gaping wounds

Requires poetic license
To find enough mending warmth
That Winter will most assuredly be gone

I absolutely love this. Such power in the ice cold words. Beautifully penned.
