Unseen

Unseen

A Poem by Tricia Pattinson

Unseen
by Tricia Pattinson

It starts beneath the old steel mill
Where rusting sinks along tattered wells

Who knows why it chose there to play
Bubbling up, digging the graves

Perhaps it was the heat it craved
A way to reach more airy ways

I wish I knew why there they built
A mammoth and monster shell

The creek has stealth and will
Gathering to it the falling pills

Saying a prayer for the buried silt
Hiding the deadly trap to health

Wow this was definitely an amazing read. The darkness and suspense within these lines was palpable and left me hanging on the words. Thank you for sharing.
