UnseenA Poem by Tricia Pattinson
Unseen
by Tricia Pattinson It starts beneath the old steel mill Where rusting sinks along tattered wells Who knows why it chose there to play Bubbling up, digging the graves Perhaps it was the heat it craved A way to reach more airy ways I wish I knew why there they built A mammoth and monster shell The creek has stealth and will Gathering to it the falling pills Saying a prayer for the buried silt Hiding the deadly trap to health © 2014 Tricia Pattinson |
