To the pain they know, and they pain we know.

 

Ode to the heartbroken souls

They kept themselves hiding, even from those who had wanted to help

They felt themselves split in two while we watched in tears

While we felt helpless.

 

Ode to the ones who feel they have been forgotten

We will never forget those who have put marks on our hearts.

Ode to their pain

That tore away at them day by day

While we watched, unable to help

Ode to those who have given up

They whom couldn't take anymore of the pain,

Whom we wept for in sorrow while their soul drifted from the atmosphere

 

Ode to those who fight on

Those who will never give up

Those with a suit of armor

Those who protect the weak

 

Ode to sadness

Life isn't easy

 

Ode to love

Makes life easier

 

Ode to those who will never forget those who have passed

We will never forget
