Secrets

Secrets

A Poem by crystallized illusions
"

Three men can keep a secret if two are dead.

"

It is upon this night, this day,

With a secret I must stay.

Lips sealed shut, not a soul to hear

With silence, they say, comes no fear.

So hard it is, to keep this weight

But i'll keep quiet, hold back hate.

I'll wait.

Soon freedom will come

These shackles will tumble,

And the Earth will rumble.

With my scream of anguish

Will the silence then vanquish.

The stitches on my lips

Will break free, no whips.

No cages,

No more pages.

Though I know it'll be best,

To keep this secret forever at rest;

Something in me screams to tell,

To come out of my shell.

I know freedom will arrive.
