THE BIRTH OF PRINCE RAMUEL

Queen Vashti gives birth to King Eron and her first born child, a son, Prince Ramus while King Eron is away fighting the war.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The day had come when Queen Regnant made the announcement that she would be going into her last month of confinement and that all of the kingdom of Nibia's business and affairs would be taken care by the Prime Minister and signed by her in her confinement room. She would no longer be seeing dignatries or other people. She would soon be going into her final trimester and only the royal doctors and mid-wives would be allowed into the confinement room at the appropriate time.

 

Two of her ladies were permitted to be with her during this time and King Eros had hired a nursemaid for their newborn child way before the child was even born. He had also hired a wet nurse to make sure the child was nursed and had the necessary nutrients for a new born prince or princess.

 

It was late Spring in 1012 AD when Queen Regnant Vashti finally went into labor and the labor seemed longer than ever and the royal doctors gave her a potion to ease her labor pains and made her sleep so when the real time came for her to bring the baby into the world she would have the strength to do.

 

The wid-wives gave Queen Vashti chips of ice to keep her mouth moist and  everytime the doctors examed her she was more and more during her time of delivery.

 

Finally, the doctors noticed the crown of the royal baby enter her womb and said, "Majesty, we need you to push we say push and pant when we say pant."

 

The labor went on for thirty minutes and after thirty minutes the loud healthy cry of a newborn infant filled the royal birthing chamber and The royal doctors said, "Your majesty, congratulations you have given birth to a fine healthy baby son."

 

Queen Vashti was washed up, and her ladies placed clean clothes on her and mid-wives cleaned up the healthy baby boy. The new little prince and wrapped him in clean blankets and said," What does your majesty plan to name this child?"

 

"We will call him Crown Prince Ramuel after his grandfather." Queen Vashti said.

 

"He is perfectly formed majesty. You need you rest and the nurse-maid appointed to take care of  Prince Ramuel was placed into her arms and she said, " Did you not know majesty. Queens are not often allow to raise their own children. They are property of their fathers and the country. Perhaps the next one His Majesty will allow you to mother."

 

Queen Regnant Vashti said, "Bring the child to me. I want to see my son."

 

The nurse maid walked over to Queen Vashti and she placed him into her arms and she smiled and said, "He is beautiful."

"Yes he is very beautiful and King Eron will be proud of you that you have given him a fine healthy son." The nurse-maid said. 

"Nurse, I am tired now. Please keep my son in my room so I may nurse him. My Lord is away. It is a mother's duty to nurse the first born son."   Queen Vashti said.

 

The nurse-maid and wet-nurse did what the Queen asked and Prince Ramuel was kept in Queen Vashti chamber so she could nurse her son. There was none to stop her.
