MY GUARDIAN ANGEL: BENJAMIN L. WESSON JR

I DEDICATE THIS TO MY GUARDIAN ANGEL, BENJAMIN L. WESSON JUNIOR, BORN DECEMBER 8, 1944 AND TRAGEDICALLY KILLED ON AUGUST 8, 1967 IN ROCK SPRING, WYOMING.

It has now been nearly 44 years since you have died and taken away from me.  I always sensed that you knew something that no one else knew about and at the proper time you would have told me. That is the very reason why mom and dad threw you out at such a young age because for me to know the truth means they would have been lying all those years.

How could Stan, Lawreen, and Anna who was just a fifteen months younger know about the horrid truth about what mom and dad concealed from me until mom's death in 76.

They concealed it very well that I was not one of their own and no wonder why I wasn't treated like one of their own but more like a cinderella.

No wonder why none of the rest of their children could not get along with me- I was not one of them. I was all alone and you were the only one who knew the horrid truth.

Linda, Rudy, and I found out via the State of Maryland and the issue of the Maryland state birth certificate they issued me. They would not give us any more information because it was a "closed adoption." How convenient for them.

Oh, the adoption was a family adoption but I was not really family but distantly related to them. I could never measure up to their standards and I was never good enough no matter what I did.

So this is what adoption now means rather than to take as "one's own."

You knew it all and they had to hush you up and to do that they sent you out into the cold, cruel world and that is where you met your fate.

I always knew you would watch over and you have as my guardian angel like that time at Cacapon State Park acrossing the slippery dam. I felt you help me get across it.

 

I am still waiting for our reunion. I want you to know that all the men who loved me all up there and you will know who they are.

Although my time has not come you all live in my heart.

I believe that are angels among us and you are one of them.
