Miracles in LionsA Poem by Violet's RunA true recounting of an experience in my early years. that has stayed with me to this day...I remember the purring Deep and rough. Yet soft and comforting There was a sensation of sandpaper Being rubbed all over my head That woke me up The little girl of 4 Rubbing her eyes wide open Not a bit afraid Of the two mountain lions That she slept with in a cage Wandering in uninvited The cage door left unlocked A sad and lonely child Found a miracle of love In such an unexpected place So do not doubt that miracles Happen each and every day For this story is a true one I am here to say.... I am here to say.....
