Debt ReckoningA Poem by Violet's RunThese are evil times we live in, but there will be a reckoning and a surpirseYou called and I had the phone on this time So soft and gentle were your words I let the tiny crystal tears fall On the envelope of the letter I am mailing to you It is all I can do to touch you You are locked away from me But not our endless, destined, heartbeat They cannot with their heartless economy Where men are mere pawns in a financial statement When the eternal female spirit rises there will be correction There will be a reckoning of the debt Until then I will wait and count the days Until you and I are reunited. © 2014 Violet's RunAuthor's Note
