Prologue...

A Chapter by LadyHawke

It was time to reunite two souls …

{Originating from the time of light}

Although meeting was random, fate had placed the two of them together at a time when life was paramount for both. Yet the need to explore this connection was so intense that any obstacles were placed aside in order to carry on with this journey together.

At times, doubts arose and with it came uncertainty.

Yet the man and woman remained steadfast, determined to communicate.

Knowing the underlining connection would continue to form, growing into fruitition.

The man wanted to know her…all of her.

The woman knew him…all of him, sensed him from long ago.

The woman knew deep within that this connection had happened before, but circumstance had separated them.

This is the man and woman’s story …

I think that you have a good rough draft, but it could use some reworking and cleaning up with the goal of making it more poignant.

For example,

"Fate had placed the two of them together through a seemingly random encounter."

Starting with the meeting being random softens the influence of fate, and takes away the impact. Since at this point I get the feeling that fate plays a major role in this relationship, you want the opening paragraph written in a way that illustrates that FATE is important here.

You could continue on with,

"Their connection was so intense, that they overcame every obstacle just to carry on with this journey together."

You have a very solid idea, and the prologue leaves the reader curious to know what happens next. With a little reworking, it could very easily grab people so that they HAVE TO KNOW what the rest of the story is about.
