Do You Know What It's Like?A Poem by Carly IthilhinOnce again, a year ago. This was written about a very, very mean girl who was trying to gain popularity through pleasant falsehoods.
Do you know what it's like to be the only one to see it coming?
See the thing that will bring you the greatest pains? And be the most perfect for others? Oh, how I wish I could take all my fears, And make them disappear. But alas, I must wait and watch my demise unfold in front of me. And know that I was the only one who saw it coming. As I always have known. When I tried to warn the others, They laughed it off, told me I was just jumping at 'shadows'. That I was the fool! When they realize my 'shadows' were real and are quailing before their cruel master , While Death is laughing, I'll be laughing too. For I was the one who knew. © 2011 Carly IthilhinAuthor's Note
