Tired heart

Tired heart

A Poem by LadyCarlos

Please be gentle with my tired heart
Forgive me if I turn my back
I’ve live the unfortunate circumstance
Of sharing meals with those who are greedy
I’m just trying to salvage what left of it
Please me gentle with my tender heart
It’s been cut away at the edges
I know it’s healing is hard to ignore
But bandages are hard to hide
The scabbing is rough and tempting to pick at
Please be gentle
My heart is small
I promise it gives a lot

Very good imagery. There is a lot here to make you feel something. Sometimes the smallest hearts can give the most.

Excellent words.

Yes I will be gentle with you poor soul
I wont pick at your sabs to make the more sore
I have no spare food or cash to give
I will share my writing with you
In the hope they will give some comfort
