Unwanted Love

Unwanted Love

A Poem by LadyCardiac

I'm no fool
But still I yearn for you
And your approval.
I carelessly
Give all of me
While in return I suffer.
Tonight I waited
I heard you leave
And like a spy
I saw you creep.
And through the wall
I heard it all
How you made her moan
And promised to return.
You came to me
And asked what's wrong.
I say nothing,
But i'm no fool.
I loved you once and I've grown since then
I loved you once like honey suckles and childish games.
I loved you once and I suffered greatly...
I loved once but now my heart is aching
As if a portrait could have emotions,
As if you could ever see
That i was all you'd ever want
And all that you could ever need.

The past has taught me a great deal. The future is a beautiful thing full of promise and endurance for the one whose worthy of my time and commitment.

I can relate to this poem. Although maybe not so much now but in the past I have been in a similar situation.
