Adrenaline Rush

Adrenaline Rush

A Poem by LadyCardiac

Adrenaline rushing,

Pulse is pumping fast.

Fist clinched in anger and ready to swing.

People don’t fight no more.

They’re just pulling out guns

Over petty change like ones.

Now you’re peeling off thousands

To bury a loved one.

All this talk about how it went down

Went in one ear and right out the other

Because it won’t bring that person back.

Back to the moment where adrenaling was rushing

Pulse was pumping fast as the assailant took that

Stolen opportunity.

Pulled the trigger because he figured one dead person

Is worth keeping his street credit

Though the police won’t take into credit that

The intentions of that young individual wasn’t to climb a temporary

High.

Now he’s climbing the stairway to heavens gates.

Leaving his sister caring for the child whose father

Killed her father’s child, killed her mothers’ love, leaving her in tears.

Tears wouldn’t even be necessary if she wasn’t searching for

An adrenaline rush.

Guns instead of punches. It doesn't make any sense to me. This is vivid and full of emotion. This is a dose of reality for you.
