Heads or Tails

Heads or Tails

A Poem by LadyCardiac

The power of prayer

she wields with her tongue

Passion and fury

Popping off like a gun

His lack of effort

Her now barrel filled ammunition.

Heads or tails?

Life or death

The greatest gift

Heads or Tails

To make sense of this...

Do Not Cross

Spelled out in black and yellow tape

Gun smoke lingers

Love lost and fought through abattle of words

She shot many bullets but all it took

Was no, I don't love you anymore.

The last line shoots a stinging word straight into the heart shattering the moment. This is strong and done very creatively.

It was the edge of deception, reaching fro something that wasn't there to begin with. Losing could never be a crime becuase it still says that atleast one has tried.

Coins have three sides... heads, tails, and edge. Odds for an edge are slim but possible. What was the crime? - reaching or losing?
