Like I Don't Know

Like I Don't Know

A Poem by LadyCardiac

She waits

'til mid day

Before she opens her mouth to speak.

Before she kisses the cool air with a goodmorning

She'd sooner lay there knowing that shes awake.....

She opens her blinds

To greet the day

And with a solemn thought

She smiles.

Thinking to herslef

That teh day is just begining

And teh rest of the world

Is still her stage.

All the thesbians

Know their lines

Know theyre motives

Know what drives them

And I, the captain of this ship

Sit in my rightful directors chair.

They symphony of tears begins

As bill collectors and friends call

All wanting the same thing.

This bill is due this one is past

And i need to know what you can do.

It ends teh same,

My head held in my palms

As i let out a sigh

Like I don't know.
