Inner Complez

Inner Complez

A Poem by LadyCardiac

Our dreams don't unfold

Like we always plan them

But there still ours.

Mommy I'm your dreams unrealized

Daddy I'm your soul unhindered.

I'm free but not careless.

I'm just a mirror to your inner complex.

What does it take to be happy?

What are you worrying about?

What are the running from?

What is like to feel your love?

Black butterflies,

White orange and unafraid of

The killer bees they share for neighbors.

Harmony needs no clarity

Just a cool drink of a summers breeze

Im at ease

Simply be.....

Beautiful

Heavy set

Dimpled

Promises

Running out of comparisons.

Beautiful skinny

Dark

caramel

redboned toned

Short hair, no hair,

Long...

Longing for what we don't know.

Don't need you at night

I don't sleep I stay up and write.

Bedtime stories of dreams that go unlearned

Truth hurts when realities crash and burn.

But

Our dreams dont unfold

Like we always plan them.

Doesn't make them any more real then we can fathom.

Mommy Im your dreams unrealized

Daddy Im your soul unhindered.

Im free but not careless.

Im just a mirror to your inner complex.
