Love, Depression

Love, Depression

A Poem by Ashley Blair

Collapse your weak
Broken body
Into me

So I can slither into
All of your hollow pieces
Taking the place of where
Your lovely bones
Used to be
I perforate
Your beautiful eyes
And out of them
The happiness
Leaks

Your tears will
Drown
As I hold you down underneath
Damned and unholy waters
No one will see
Your melancholy
As you're buried beneath
Violent waves of
Shattered dreams

I will fill the cracks in
Your sore lungs
With cement
I will wrap my
Fingers
Ever so tightly

Around your neck
And no soul will hear
Your choked lament

You will not breathe
Just yet
I want to be the one
Who starves any light left
I want to be the one
To inhale
Your final
Sweet
Sickly
Last breath
