How I want my new clients in counseling to feel about me~

 

With Me…

 

 

With me…They sense their first stability

                    A true effort of capability

                    They feel the desire to finally try

                    They all want the answer as to why

                    Beaten and broke their current position

With me…A little motivation changes the decision

 

 

With me…They come to bare their soul

                    Meet the challenge to reach a goal

                    Lying and denial set the stage

                     I will show them how to turn the page

                     Little-by-little I will teach them to cope

With me…They will always be able to find the hope

 

 

With me…They will understand crisis intervention

                    Learn new routes of relapse prevention

                    Like an angel who installs their lost faith

                    Giving energy to restore them back to grace

                    They find their mind is able to share

With me…They will know my heart always cares

 

 

With me…They will find forgiveness for transgressions

                    They may divulge their secret obsessions

                     After they’ve shed puddles of tears

                     They will stand to face truth absolvent of fears

                     Come in out of the darkness with a new vision of sight

With me… Guiding them gently toward the light

 

WITH ME…THEY WILL FIND A NEW LIFE AND WHAT THEY ARE LOOKING FOR!

Give your new patients a copy of this before you ever ask them a question and you're over half way to earning their trust. Good on you. Yaassss - show 'em how to turn the page! Too many are stagnant and entirely too comfortable in their misery. But I suspect that some of these people have little else and will cling to whatever they can.
