The Long White Satin Glove

The Long White Satin Glove

A Poem by LadyAnn68
"

memory of a woman...

"

The Long White Satin Glove

Lying on the plush red carpet

On the stairs to the balcony where I first caught glimpse of her

Was the long white satin glove of an angel

Lingering the scent Oil of Lavender

Believed in her in the moonlit glaze

Cheeks the color and feel that of a peach

She needed only a palace and a throne

Divinity that outstretched arms could not reach

Reminiscing her I feel the heat

Only the cool touch of her glove brings relief

Closing my eye whilst still on the terrace

Searching for that Cinderella of my belief

Keep I will the cherished moments of her

Keep I will the long white satin glove

Hope I will she will search for to find it

Pray she will find me and my love

My pleasure.
Enjoyed this very much, it makes me think of a ghost, remembered by those she left behind and whom she visits from time to time.
