A Recovery Thought…

 

Hold on to Recovery and embrace it

You’ll never find anything to replace it

Live life on life’s terms

With past mistakes we humbly learn

Give into yourself…be kind

Educate it…your lost mind

Make amends

But loose drug friends

You’ve got a chance

By the seat of your pants

 

Just don’t let it slip right through your hands~

 

Hold on to Recovery and rejoice

Hold on to the moment; hold on to your voice

Stay in the rooms it is safe there

All your nightmares you can share

Fight the feeling “Just one more…”

Stay inside close the door

Don’t answer the bell; don’t answer the phone

This is the perfect time to be alone

Take a moment to speak to the Lord

Count on his help all in accord

Sleep well and safe in the night

Knowing you stuck with the fight

 

Wake up clean, sober, and bright~

 

If you give into past desires

Forever will you feel the fires

Hell will seem like heaven there

Just a place to come up for air

Cus when you take that first hit

No saliva to even spit

You will spend every buck

And all you do is end up stuck

And everything you’ll leave behind

Without a conscious thought of mind

So think hard on all the past pain

And all you have done to regain

 

Pray Recovery stays your eternal “change”~

 

RECOVERY IS THE ONLY ANSWERED PRAYER!

YES! You know, sometimes I think it would be good if they could actually see what the drug doing to them and their body. Not just hear it but see it... Recovering from drug use is a massive thing and I put my hands up to everyone who has accomplished and I am incredibly proud of them.
