What Can an Addict Give Us?

 

Most addicts we know are close friends

They are born continuously around the globe

They were born with non-malice and innocence

They were born with a crystal-clear clean soul

 

Addicts come from different economic neighborhoods

Most have faith and possess social graces

Addicts can’t escape their dyadic reality

Addicts come in all ages, races, shapes, and faces

 

Being an addict is to lose power

Chemical changes in the brain alter the self-identity

Soon to turn into and “evil” spirit

Who then hijacks the loving personality

 

Addicts can possess the concept of Recovery

That takes maximum efforts of diligence and perseverance

A new repent between the addict and God himself

Continued prayers for righteous deliverance

 

So what can an addict give worthwhile

Perhaps chosen author's words and education

Constant reminders of what NOT to do or follow

Show experienced steps to self-preservation

 

Out of the addict’s mouth

Comes horrifying tales of the streets

How kindness is taken for weakness

How they steal from you till you are beat

 

With addict musicians comes forth

Lyrics that will forever live on

Showing love for life still remains within

While crawling back to growing strong

 

What an addict can give us most of all

Is returned family love and regained self glory

Teach us avoidance of evil lurking near us

Demonstrate TRUTH is not a made up story!

ADDICTS CAN RECOVER AND GIVE US MUCH LOVE IN OUR LIVES

Well this poem here shows that recovery can happen and that addicts are real live people who can still give from the heart to our lives in many different ways that is great and should be appreciated not just by family but the public as well. Oh my God, LadyAnn, seriously chick, this is out of this world, the imagery and wording is oh so vivid and powerful... WOW! What a poem for sure. Addiction is hard to overcome and when you have no control over it, changing your life is thousands times harder... This is great, well done.

I do thank you for the words of kindness but you did not see it either...what I was trying to show is that after recovery,...addicts can give valuable education, music, poetry and LOVE they are REAL people too. Not a bug always to be squashed...but sometimes to be recognized for good. But when you do change your life it is the reward for such a previous nasty existence no? Just goes to show that God is still standing behind you! Thank you for reading this one it is much better and getting my old feel back..I can taste writing coming up...I am loaded with words bubbling to get out! LOL hahahahahaha...Obviously I had the BEST day of my life today and nothing can burst this woman's bubble...I want to go out and seduce a man I don't know or ever seen...LOL hahahahahaih So I will probably write about that instead of really doing it..but that is where I am at...want to put on make-up and dress up in 7 inch heels,,,with fishnet stockings and boots! Wow did I just say that?
