Still Believing Years of Lost LoveA Poem by LadyAnn6840 years of lost love still losing...still believing in Terry Allen Seale...Still Believing Years of Lost Love
I used to know what was right or wrong I knew how to play it straight Was it our words unspoken Was it our hearts still broken Or was it the drugs that determined fate
Letting go takes more than just tears We never pledged, “Honor Bound” I was determined to have “forever” But our spirits wouldn’t fly together Now our love is dirt on the ground
For such an unconditional love to fall A love where I was many slaves During sex obeyed your commands Putting my trust solely in your hands But alone we will go to our separate graves
All I ever wanted was what I had lost How much more can a love take Through the years I did nothing but try Through the years you continued to lie How will I ever mend from all the heartache
Even now when I gaze at you I see right through to your soul If only you understood when you’re gone Like a melody trying without the song Where my heart’s suppose to be is now a hole
Sometimes I get to laugh Mostly I stay inside my head Someday I’ll find someone new Not that he’ll ever take the place of you But a partner to finally share my bed
BUT I WILL NEVER STOP BELIEVING IN YOU…
