What will it take

To get and audience appearance

What shall I say

To get past transgressions clearance

 

What will make a difference

For you to see the light

How can I send the message

Illuminating “we” are right

 

If only we could speak

     All the words unspoken

If only we could sleep

    With our eyes wide-open

If only we could feel

     With our hearts unbroken

If only our wishes

    Were hard-coin tokens

 

If I could sing you a song

With lyrics that hold true

I fear the only songs I would sing

Bringing tears of sadness through

 

When I pray at night for the things I want

Prayers that let you remain free

Silent dreams God showing the pathway

Of all the steps back to me

 

If only we could speak

     All the words unspoken

If only we could sleep

     With our eyes wide-open

If only we could feel

     With our hearts unbroken

If only our wishes

     Were hard-coin tokens

Hi, Sam nice to see you again. This was the first thing I wrote about my ex and got the writers block gone...whenever I need to write I just think of HIM and i write! I am back finals are over and the writers block is gone. I just wrote a poem about my Director of the program who has turned against me and I am not dealing with it well. So I wrote her a poem see if it merits any feelings for you...It is called..."I Trusted When We First Met". I needed to write it to feel better!

Damn girl, you just give it straight, don't you? I loved this, you just about made me fall off my chair. This is powerful and will be relatable not only to your ex but to others who have been in this position. I do hate when the ex comes back though... I just wanted to punch my ex when he came back, LOL!

Coyote...I am back from writer's block and fear of exams...they are over and I am back. This is not my best work but I am so happy to write anything I used my ex as the inspirational motive. I like it but I know I can perform better...however,,,it is a true poem..and when I faced a hearing the other day my ex happen to email me and for one brief moment...I wanted to hear his voice...but when we talk...:the words get in the way!"
