Run Forever

 

Down way under far, far, below,

Don’t know how to get out or where to go,

Fear of failing from what you know,

Who you were in its dark shadow.

 

Take a choice, make a stand,

Pick a road, pick a plan;

On your knees in the beaches sands,

Above your head wave you hands.

 

The heart will sing the first step you make

Get educated now and learn how to take

Make investments with huge stakes,

The more you succeed the more pieces of cakes.

 

Yes it is a mountain you have to climb

Doesn’t really matter the length of time

The cost is high and it’s your dime

Shout it out loud, “It can ALL be mine!”

 

Hold on to your passion from the swirl,

Turn your life around in THIS world,

Makeover your hair with new curls

Make your revolution, be you own girl!

 

The road looks long in the bright sun,

The race is now and it has begun,

You can have it all and still make it fun,

But you will never know unless you RUN!

Firstly, I am with Frieda and would rather but secondly, I wouldn't run... I'd stand and face the music. ;-) I loved this one, you got your message across loud and clear, my friend - excellent job!

Can I dance instead, I figure whatever gets you to that cloud in your own sky is all good, like the message here, you got it across loud & clear! Nice rhyming scheme too.

Above your head wave "your" hands

You know....when something you have worked or earned happens..(ie "A" on biology exam) you run and wave your hands in the sky...let me see another example...when Secretariat won the Triple Crown his owner, Penny Tweedy, was waving her hands in the air above her head.

Did you watch the video it is sooo exciting to see that horse after everyone said it couldn't be done...he beat them ALL by 31 links...but the way she waving her hands...and yes you can dance or sing or tipy-tow as long as you keep running if that is your form of running! If you really look at each verse it is my story...when I made the decision to comply with my mothers dying wish for me to finish school and I have been LIVING ever since, I have earned the right to wave my hands. But these works most of them are when I first started the challenge to do poetry an many sound the same but the are unique but you would have to know the circumstances...I hope that by getting better at writing I have branched out into new areas...but I put these up here so that I can get any kind of feedback on them for the recovery site!!!! Every bit helps. And YOU are such a great writer...I want to learn from you! If I write you a message there are some of your writings I have not commented on that you requested me to read and I have...if I send yo but there are some I need to understand...so maybe you could explain what they mean so I can comment???I Don't want to write a review on something I can't figure and I don't want to appear stupid...will this be OK with you? For example...the poem "If I Could Fly"...sound beautiful but don't know where it is from or what it refers to because it sounds very personal...a deeper meaning than just the write..is it?

I've seen the video before, yes it is amazing. Once I write something, no matter what it means to me or where it came from, once it's out there, it's yours to do with what you wish, we all have our own perspective of looking at life, might not mean the same thing to you, there are NO stupid answers or reviews when it comes to poetry in my mind. That one was about my sister that committed suicide, I will tell you that much but you could take it where you wish and make it your own story....thanks so much for your kind words.

WOW you got it...I can't believe it...that fact is that is exactly the truth...I am running and I have made it 1/2 way back.. still much to do in short amount of time! Make huge stakes...rise higher than you should...keep RUNNING! I was the addict way down below and now I am free of drugs and in medical school at the age of 50..Do you see?

Oh yes...Thank You for those kind words...it was one of my first...then I got well by writing an now it is my passion to CREATE a beautiful work is rewarding. You can live in so many wonderful places with writing! Since I joined here..I have branched out to write other things and I just love it! So thank you again!
