Alliteration of exasperation

Alliteration of exasperation

A Poem by Lauren Xena Campbell

Painting pain in patient parlour,

Fighting fright and fantasy in fearsome focus,

Whispering wishes weathered yet wild,

Tempting truth in torments temples,

Lacking loves labour and luxury,

Burdened with the burning of back life in black,

Yielding yet yearning yesterday.

Basically a nonsense poem I wrote when bored but I have posted it because it seemed a little funky.

What a fun read, sure it's nonsense, but that's the fun part. The overuse of alliteration makes it seem very...Seussian. The play with words and nonsensicality are by far the best parts!

It's great to play with words for the fun of it. And I like your new layouts and presentations.

Oh, so fun. I love alliteration, regardless of whether it serves a higher purpose or if it's just "a little funky." I once tried to write an alphabet book with rhyming couplets of alliteration (similar to your lines), but ran out of steam at "N." I hope this was as much fun to write as it was to read.

Somewhere on the edge of the imagination

About
Dreams are not made to be broken, but are created in the heart to write destiny! I've always loved making up stories and putting words down onto paper, despite the fact that I only really learnt to.. more..
