The Perfection Art

The Perfection Art

A Poem by Lauren Xena Campbell
"

I have writers block :-(

"

Practise is the perfection art that knowledge does not bring,

From the quill that scribes to the eye bringing written gen within.

With everyday the same old irk, what new inspiration will win,

Either to find new fun or cast old dreams unto the bitter wind.

This block, this barricade the armoured tide does bring,

To force close my eyes and bring the blackest sin,

With every word the same old trials that fetch no satisfaction,

Leaving paper dead and white with no new exploration.

Practise is the perfection art that knowledge does not bring,

From the quill that scribes to the eye bringing written gen within.

With everyday the same old irk, what new inspiration will win,

For this, the dreary writers block the eighth deadly sin.

your poem flows so beautifully...you express the concept of writer's block effectively...enough creativity to write a poem during your bout of writer's block just not enough to tend at the task at hand...LOL...WONDERFUL...I am so happy you had a poetic revelation! your word choice and syntax are superb...VERY VERY WELL WRITTEN!

"For this, the dreary writers block the eighth deadly sin."...I love the last line and how you labeled it.

Sometimes the words already say everything that needs to be said. I love that verse, it reads like an old proverb to me - undeniable wisdom.

Great work!

That was really nice and smooth writing you got there. It may be hard and slow, yet for some strange resons, I feel some kind of comfort while reading it...

Very nice and imaginary along with simple flown that worked well just about right...

I am sending you, what he said about practise:
(I enjoyed this sweet poem, hm.. writer's blog.. I didn't write for few months and now I am writing again, but much less than before. it is like I want to win quality before quantity. I liked the repetitions by the way.. and yes everything has got a reason. I missed you, I am here now.)

Then he does not wear them out in practice.

Dreams are not made to be broken, but are created in the heart to write destiny! I've always loved making up stories and putting words down onto paper, despite the fact that I only really learnt to.. more..
