The shadows of realisationA Poem by Lauren Xena CampbellThe mind is a labyrinth, Twisted with complex thoughts, Parchments stacked high filled with memories, A library of lusts and fears. In the labyrinth lie good and evil, The wicked created by an outside reality, From being cast aside, trapped and burned, The good coming from the sun, the soul. Men and women have tried to un-riddle the labyrinth, Losing themselves in a reality not suited to their intellect, But they do not understand the game, For here only the inner child can play. At its centre the labyrinth holds desire, Dreams, creation, fear and fantasies, The shadows of realisation, Only one can reach the centre-the corners of the mind.
