A Random Love

A Random Love

A Poem by Lauren Xena Campbell

There is no end of death in the world,
This world that spins on endless motions,
Motions that are coursed by emotions,
Emotions caused by death and hate.

When the sun goes down,
And day turns into night,
Laughter is the only escape,
And love is the only light.

The first time that I met him,
I though he must be insane,
But now that I have gotten to know him,
I find that he is the most wonderful person of all.

People can live in the heart of hate forever,
Or embrace the love of life,
Either way one thing is for sure,
No matter where I go,
Or whom I may meet,
Weather I’m at a fancy ball,
Or outside in the rain on the street,
Love follows me here were ever I go,
Side by side holding my hand,
Locked in my heart as I’m locked in his embrace,
Love forever,
Until the end,
When death takes me for him.

But I don’t care,
For now he is mine,
And for a very long time yet,
When the crow flies over head,
And the bell tolls drawn,
He is mine and always will be.

Very nice love poem. Typical, but nice. I love the emotion and word choice. Thank you for entering the Any and All Poetry Contest.

Very mellow. Very naive. It brought a temporary peace inside my skull though. Then the voices started going off. Anyway, how are you?

Dreams are not made to be broken, but are created in the heart to write destiny! I've always loved making up stories and putting words down onto paper, despite the fact that I only really learnt to.. more..
