Be Happy or You Die

Be Happy or You Die

A Poem by Davia Lynn Bradley

Learning pain,

forcing peace,

bloodied rain,

raging beast.

Joy screaming,

love burning,

fear dreaming,

die yearning.

Lost in the abyss,

forcibly forlorn,

flesh eating kiss,

listen or you burn.

Forget to cry,

plastic smile,

be happy or you die.

Ha ha, I know this all too well. Happinesss is making the best of what you got, because without it one's existence becomes no more than an empty promise of a questionable sky. Through pain and hurt, it is possible that one must fake smiles just to fool the heart and mind. It's like the poem proclaims, be happy or life becomes a game no one wants to play.

I liked the diction, it's very strong and gives the audience a mood of passion entwined with blissful sorrow.

I complement you for sharing this. It's quite wonderful. I have no suggestions.
