Tell Me About It

Tell Me About It

A Poem by Beth Holian
"

You could have it so much better...

"

Strip me naked
and feel inside me
the hurt
the pain
the uncomfortable silence

Strip me naked
and touch me
feel my pain
and the sadness
that I hide

Nothing's ever quite as simple as it seems
Put on a facade
A happy face
won't cover the pain I feel inside
Nothing's ever quite as simple as it seems

Feel me
Touch me
Know me

You know you want to...

It's raw. It's naked. It's lovely. And it's very Beth. This is fantastic work, dear. Touches me on that way intrinsic level of raw emotion, or something. It connects: well.
