Secretly... Shades of Blue

 

Cries in the wind...

Seem to whisper her name

Darkness falls, swirling at her feet

Why  she asks...

Did she lose at love?

She wonders in her shame

She asks the question

But the answer makes her weep

 

Her tears glisten...

Like rain falling down her cheeks

She's tired and lost...

Wandering down this road

She seeks peace without dreams

In her restless sleep

She carries in her heart...

A lonely,  heavy load

 

A heart that’s shattered

Her pain's without end...

As she walks down the road alone

Can’t seem to find her way

Hope shattered...

From her lonely heart within

Reminding her ...

How she lost at love

Each and every day

 

She lives only to write...

Her many words and poems

Painted in every color and hue...

Her hidden box of painted words

Imprisoned inside her

Buried so deep...

So no one else will see

All her secrets left behind...

          Never to be heard
