Your Face Haunts Me Still

Your Face Haunts Me Still

A Poem by anne p. murray- LadeeAnne

haunting face

Thoughts of you haunt me still

Your face remains etched in my memory

Your lips that touched my soul

In the midnight hour

your image comes to me with a whispered promise

My heart cries out for you

as your  sweet voice echoes in my ear

You are everywhere…

and nowhere

Midnight and memory

 bring you back to me

bound by loves immortality

But...

you are gone

Your imprint will always remain

 engraved in my heart

The dreams of our bygone days

disturb my dreams

Your lovely form small and slender

your eyes shown so bright

Then an angel claimed your soul…

and took you away from me
